The Heart of Man

This post is for Christians and Deathcore fans alike. This is, "The Heart of Man" by (the Christian Deathcore deliciousness that is) In The Midst of Lions. This is a solid album, and it is presented very well. However they add some boring spoken vocals in the track, "Defiance". But it's nothing to get too annoyed by. All in all, this album has solid riffs, good drumming, great vocals and a share of some sexy breakdowns. All while staying within a view of Christian themed lyrics. My favorite track from the album is hands down, without a doubt, "Reborn". I give this album a 4 out of 5 stars.

The Harvest Floor

This Right Here... This Right Here... This Right Here... This Right Here is probably one of my favorite albums that I've ever had the pleasure of listening to. This is, "The Harvest Floor" by (who I consider to be the kings of Goregrind) Cattle Decapitation. The lightning fast riffs, the blast beats, the low but fast vocals and the revenant-like high screams are presented beautifully on this album. One of my favorite albums ever, and it takes the cake as my favorite Cattle Decapitation album. My favorite track is a split between, "A Body Farm" and "Regret and The Grave". I give this album a complete 5 out of 5 stars.

A Night At The Chalet EP

This is the, "A Night at The Chalet EP" by A Night at The Chalet. This is a great album by a great band. A local band for that matter. This album is all around greatness. Great for the average 'deathcore' fan. There's really nothing else to say but that it is a good EP. And hopefully they'll be releasing themselves a delicious full length album soon. My favorite track from this EP is without a doubt the intro track, "A Hallowing in Hell". I give this EP a strong 4 out of 5 stars.

Stop Complaining

"You stupid metal fans think you are so elite. Don't be such ignorant bigots. I listen to good music." Really? I wouldn't need to be a 'stupid, elitist metal fan' if you didn't listen to such crappy music. Rap, Hip-Hop, and R&B all suck. And on top of that, I'd like to mention that Muse, U2 and Coldplay also suck. Have a great day, and go listen to some metal. Good riddance.

Taking Back The Night Life

STRAIGHT! EDGE! This is "Taking Back The Night Life" by Straight Edge Hardcore band Liferuiner. There seems to be a lot of hate around this album and this band. Perhaps it's result of their Straight Edge status or maybe because people think they have quite a 'one chord brutality' sound. Whatever it may be, it's sad. This band has such a good sound. They're (in a sense of time) a relatively 'new-ish' band. But they follow the 'old school' Hardcore sound. This album has great vocals, so many amazing breakdowns and a good lot of bass drops. My favorite track from this album is a split between, "Suck My D***", and "MegaDEATH". I give this album a good 4 out of 5 stars.

Felony

This right here is a pretty powerful album. It's called, "Felony" and it's by the deathcore powerhouse (no matter how infamous they are for plagiarism and 'one chord brutality' among the deathcore crowd, it's undeniable that they have a huge fan following) Emmure. This album has a lot of powerful lyrical themes about past relationships, ex-girlfriends, etc. One thing about almost all the tracks on this album that really catches your attention are the bass drops. They catch mine every time one hits. Despite the 'one chord brutality' and 'crappy scream vocals' this album kicks some serious ass. My favorite track is a split between, "I Thought You Met Telly and Turned Me Into Casper", and "R2-Deepthroat". I give this album a solid 4.5 out of 5 stars.

What Is Commissioner?

Commissioner. What can I say about Commissioner? Let's start with the fact that this album I am addressing is the "What Is Commissioner EP" by Commissioner. To start, the pairing of dubstep expertise from Cameron "Big Chocolate" Argon and the epic vocals of Mitch Lucker (yes, the vocalist of Suicide Silence) really creates a one of a kind "Deathstep" experience. Despite the length of this EP, it is one worth listening to all the way through. 5 Awesome Tracks. My favorite track is a three-way split between "Consume (Big Chocolate Remix)", "The March" and "Click, Click Flash!" Overall I give this EP (short as it may be) a 4.5 out of 5 stars.
